The Price Comes First,
Then the Work

Brighton + Hove + Sussex

Fast Fix tells you the call-out rate on the phone before a van moves, diagnoses the fault before pricing the repair, and never adds a penny once a price is agreed. Here is exactly how that works, in plain English.

How Pricing Works

Quoted on the Phone,
Fixed Before We Start

When you call, an electrician answers and tells you the call-out rate before anyone sets off. Not a range, not an estimate that firms up later. The figure you hear on the phone is the figure that appears on your invoice, whether it is two in the afternoon or three in the morning.

On arrival we diagnose the fault before pricing anything. Once we know what is actually wrong, you get a fixed price for the repair, and no work continues until you have agreed it. If you would rather not go ahead, you pay the call-out rate you were already told and we leave your installation safe before we go.

There is no out-of-hours markup slipped in afterwards; whatever applies to the time of your call is built into the rate you are quoted upfront. And if the electrician who answers can tell that your problem will safely wait until morning, we will say so on the phone and charge you nothing for the advice.

The Invoice Promise

Six Things You Will Never See
On a Fast Fix Invoice

Marcus Delgado built this company on a simple idea: the person paying the bill should never be surprised by it. So here is what a Fast Fix invoice will never contain.

  • Hidden fees that appear at the final bill
  • Hourly rates that drift while the clock runs
  • Out-of-hours markups added after the job
  • Parts fitted without your say-so
  • Vague line items you cannot question
  • A total higher than the price you agreed

What Genuinely Moves the Price

We will not pretend every emergency costs the same. Three things move the price of a repair: the parts it needs, how hard the fault is to reach, and how far it extends. A failed breaker in an accessible consumer unit is a quicker fix than damaged cabling buried behind plasterwork, and the price reflects that.

What those factors never do is change the price after you have agreed it. Our vans carry the parts that solve most emergencies, so diagnosis usually tells us everything we need to price the job accurately on the spot. If a fault turns out to be bigger than it first looked once work is underway, we stop, show you what we have found and agree a revised price before continuing — never after.

Everything is itemised on the invoice, alongside any certification the work requires, so you can see exactly what you paid for and why.

FAQs Made Simple

FIND YOUR ANSWERS
Is diagnosis included in the call-out rate?

The call-out rate covers getting a qualified electrician to your door and finding the fault. You will not pay a separate diagnosis fee; the fixed price we quote afterwards is for the repair alone, and you decide whether to go ahead.

Do I pay before or after the work is done?

Payment is settled once the job is finished and you are happy the fault is fixed. You agree the price before we start, but we do not ask for a penny until the work is complete.

Do you charge for quotes on bigger jobs?

Quoting planned work such as rewires, consumer unit upgrades or commercial installations costs you nothing. If an emergency visit uncovers a larger job, we make the installation safe first, then put a written quote together with no obligation attached.

Can landlords get itemised invoices for their records?

Every landlord job comes with a full itemised invoice, plus whatever certification the work calls for, such as a minor works certificate where one applies. Letting agents managing several properties can have all paperwork sent straight to them.
