One van, one rule,
no one left in the dark

Brighton + Hove + Sussex

Fast Fix started with a single van and a single rule: nobody sits in the dark waiting on a callback. That rule now runs a 24-hour emergency fleet covering Sussex from our base in Brighton.

Our story

From one van
to an emergency fleet

Marcus Delgado, our owner & lead electrician, built Fast Fix around a promise most trades quietly break: if you ring in an emergency, someone answers and someone comes. In the early days that meant one man, one van and a phone that never got switched off. Every fault either got fixed or got made safe that same visit.

Today an emergency fleet covers Sussex from our unit at 1420 Voltage Way in Brighton. Each van carries enough stock to finish most jobs on the first visit, and every electrician on the road is qualified, insured and background-checked. Ring at 3am and the phone is still answered by an electrician, never an answering service.

For you, that history shows up in practical ways. You get a straight answer on the phone, a fixed price agreed before any work starts, and an arrival that averages under 60 minutes across our service area. Domestic or commercial, day or night — the standard is the same.

Our standards

What defines
how we work

Anyone can print values on a website. These are the six you can actually check, on the phone, on site and on your paperwork.

  • An electrician answers the phone, not a call centre
  • Fixed price agreed before any tools come out
  • Every electrician background-checked and insured
  • Vans stocked to finish most jobs on the first visit
  • Certificates and paperwork handled for you
  • Same response at 3am as at 3pm

How a job with us runs

It starts when an electrician answers your call. They ask what has happened, talk you through anything that needs doing straight away to keep people safe, and give you an honest arrival time. Across our service area that averages under 60 minutes.

On site, the electrician diagnoses the fault and quotes a fixed price before touching anything. You approve it, the work is done from a stocked van, and nothing gets added to the bill afterwards. If the fault can only be made safe that visit, you are told exactly what remains and why.

Then comes the paperwork. Where the work needs certifying, such as a minor works certificate for smaller alterations, we issue the relevant documentation and keep a copy on file in case you, your landlord or your insurer ever need it.

FAQs Made Simple

FIND YOUR ANSWERS
Who actually turns up when I call Fast Fix?

One of our own electricians, in a marked and stocked van. On some jobs that is Marcus Delgado, the owner, who still works on the tools. Whoever arrives is qualified, insured and briefed on your fault before they knock.

Are your electricians vetted and insured?

Every electrician we send is background-checked, fully qualified and covered by our insurance. If you want proof of insurance for your own records, ask when you book and we will provide it.

Do you use subcontractors for emergency work?

We don't. Emergency call-outs only go to our own background-checked electricians, because we won't vouch for standards we don't control. The person on your doorstep works for Fast Fix.

What happens after the job is finished?

You receive the paperwork for the work carried out, including certificates where the job requires them, and we keep a record on file. If the fault points to a wider problem in the installation, the electrician tells you plainly rather than booking a return visit you don't need.
